New York City Things To Do in March

The city is getting feverish for spring and warmer weather, practically mad. Sports fans have March Madness to get them over the hump into spring. For the rest of us, March Madness takes on a different theme.

Put a little color in those cheeks at a burlesque show. A variety of performances to match your fancy: dinner cabernet with the most spectacular aerial performers at AirOtic Soiree; nightclub vibes, music and dancing with burlesque performers at House of Yes, Cocktail Magique with card tricks, airdropped cocktails, and scantily clad ballerina’s balancing on champagne bottles at Company XIV; or a classic show at Duane Park

Chase characters and storylines up and down this 4 story immersive experience before it closes. Sleep No More has extended its’ final performance through March. The original experience of its’ kind based on Shakespear’s Macbeth. You will be a ghost in the room as you watch this speechless show carry out love, death, heart break, and secrecy.

Work up a sweat dancing like a maniac at the New Colossus Festival March 6 - 10th. Over 100 performers will be coming to NYC and playing at venues across the LES and East Village. Created to showcase new artists and genres ranging from pop, punk, rock, and every sub-category between.  Get the LD before you buy tickets to maximize the week.

Is there such a thing as shamrock fever? March 17th aka St. Patrick’s Day always seems to bring out the green in everyone and a love for corn beef, cabbage, and whiskey. Watch the parade (the oldest running parade in the states) on Saturday, March 16th and finish off the day with a local Irish pub for dinner and a drink.

Coming to the states and performing 13 shows in NYC, the Flamenco Festival tour starts March 1st and goes through to the 17th. Artists will be doing collaborations at venues around the city - Lincoln Center and New York City Center.

March Madness NYC Style will be keeping you busy until spring.
